Based on the successful implementation of Uneo Health's Prosper application to thousands of Maryland teenagers, the partnership extension renews and expands Prosper support of self-care and wellness journeys for current platform users and thousands more.
Annapolis, MD - July 25, 2025 – Uneo Health, a Maryland-based start-up, renews its partnership with the Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Supports (Consortium) and the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) to increase access to behavioral health tools and support services for Maryland teenagers. The Consortium's selection of Uneo Health for an additional term aims to help students develop critical coping and resiliency skills using Uneo Health's Prosper self-care app and extends the efforts of the school-based wellness staff. This partnership includes the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Maryland and A Mylestone Group as part of the broader team to implement these services seamlessly and exponentially to thousands of high school students in Prince George's and Calvert County public schools.
During the 2024–2025 school year, Prosper empowered over 3,000 Maryland high school students to build healthier habits and improve their mental well-being. With over 39,000 daily "check-ins" in Prosper, 5,300 guided journals, and 10,000 self-care activities completed, teens reported feeling more self-aware and supported, and 86% noted a positive mental health impact. Through 290+ school events across three Maryland counties, Prosper extended the reach of school wellness teams, offering students a private, engaging space to reflect, build resilience, and thrive.
"Prosper is proving what's possible when we meet students where they are, with tools that are intuitive, private, and built for their world," said Eric Sullivan, CEO of Uneo Health. "What we're seeing isn't just engagement, it's transformation. Students are building habits, opening up, and taking charge of their mental health in ways that truly matter."
The grant award will specifically support the expansion of the Prosper consumer app for Maryland students, a consumer-facing platform developed by Uneo Health that focuses on enhancing mental well-being, promoting self-care, and personalized guided support for high school students in Maryland counties. Prosper leverages a unique set of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) support tools to help students manage the stressors of daily life, while offering geotargeted resources that support behavioral health and social determinants of health needs.
"The Consortium is thrilled to extend its partnership with Uneo Health to support the mental health and well-being of Maryland students," said Consortium Chair David D. Rudolph. "We look forward to working with Uneo as they expand, support our students, and implement this grant."
In June 2025, the CHRC and the Consortium announced $96 million in new grant awards to support student mental health for the 2025-2026 school year. The programs will serve all 24 jurisdictions in the state and are projected to serve 80% of Maryland schools. Funding was made available by the Maryland General Assembly under the Blueprint for Maryland's Future (Ch. 36 of 2021). Grants will address a wide range of behavioral health issues through prevention, behavioral health screenings, counseling, addiction treatment, family support, crisis planning and services, telehealth services, support groups, wraparound services, and more. Uneo Health offers teens a digital space that feels personal, relevant, and safe, an experience that is not only engaging but also making a real difference in how young people care for their mental health.
The Uneo Health team believes strongly in the power of partnerships and innovation to make a real difference.
